Judith Lindenbaum

Judith Lindenbaum stammt aus Kanada. Zunächst studierte sie in Edmonton an der Universität von Alberta, wo sie ihre Studien mit dem Bachelor's und Master's of Music in Gesang und Gesangpädagogik abschloss. Danach begann sie ein Aufbaustudium in Deutschland an der Musikhochschule Detmold. Es folgte umfangreiche Konzerttätigkeit in Deutschland, Frankreich, Norwegen und England. Sie war ein langjähriges Mitglied des Festivals de Saint Omer. Zusätzlich gastierte sie an den Theatern in Detmold und Bielefeld. Ihre Leidenschaft jedoch gehörte der Gesangpädagogik und zu diesem Zweck studierte sie über sechs Jahre mit dem international berühmten Gesangpädagogen Professor Theodor Lindenbaum. Sie unterrichtete an der Universität Bielefeld von 1981-1989, an der Musikhochschule Detmold von 1984-1989, an der Universität zu Köln von 1989 bis heute, und seit neuestem auch an der Universität Siegen. Sie leitete mehrere Jahre mit dem französischen Regisseur Vincent Tavernier ein Opern-Studio. Judith Lindenbaum nahm teil an einem Forschungsprojekt der Universität Köln mit dem Ziel bessere diagnostische Mittel für Grundschulkinder mit Stimmproblemen zu entwickeln. Mit der Gründung einer weiblichen a- capella-Gruppe, "Die Spass Girls" verfolgte sie ihr Interesse an den nicht-klassischen Musikgattungen. Judith Lindenbaum entwickelte ein Curriculum für den Unterricht von Gesangpädagogik, das fortlaufend revidiert und aktualisiert wird. Sie ist eine erfahrene und beliebte Workshop-Lehrerin und hat zahlreiche Gesang- und Gesangpädagogik-Workshops in Deutschland und Kanada geleitet. Ihre Hauptleidenschaft bleibt das Unterrichten, ihre Schüler singen und unterrichten Europa-weit

Judith Lindenbaum was born and raised in Western Canada. After completing her Bachelor's and Master's of Music and Vocal Pedagogy at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, she came to Germany to do post-graduate studies at the Musikhochschule in Detmold. She successfully joined the concert and oratorio circuit and undertook guest engagements at the opera houses in Detmold and Bielefeld. She performed widely in Germany, England, Norway and France and was for many years a member of the Festival de Saint Omer. Her first love was vocal pedagogy, however, and to this end she studied for over 6 years with the internationally famous vocal pedagogue Theodor Lindenbaum. She taught at the University of Bielefeld from 1981-1989, at the Musikhochschule Detmold from 1984-1989, at the University of Cologne from 1989 until the present day and recently also at the University of Siegen. For many years she ran an Opera Workshop with the French director, Vincent Tavernier. Ms Lindenbaum was an active participant in a study group at the University of Cologne, developing better diagnostic tools for elementary school children with voice anomalies. She founded a female a capella group several years ago (Die Spass Girls) and can indulge her love for music other than classical by arranging songs for the group and singing with it. She has compiled a curriculum for the teaching of vocal pedagogy, which is constantly updated and revised. She is an experienced and popular clinician and has given countless vocal and vocal pedagogy workshops in both Germany and Canada. She loves teaching above all else and her students now perform and teach all over Europe.
